Apie Genius Homes
Genius Homes builds prefab homes in New Zealand's South Island, operating since 2011 from what it calls the South Island's largest purpose-built facility for prefab homes, and now part of Laing Properties. Homes are built in the factory while site foundations are prepared, then transported and installed.
The range includes holiday and rental units (Cottage 1, Moeraki), family homes (Manuka, Ohau, Oxford 2 and 3, Mayfield), farm homes and staff quarters, including a design with two self-contained units for two workers. It sells to residential and commercial clients.
