Founded by Liisa Nirgi, with a strong background in marketing, and Mihkel Nirgi, who brought extensive experience from the real estate sector, the company emerged from their shared passion for architecture and advanced construction technologies. Recognizing a gap in the Estonian market for element houses that met both design and quality expectations of demanding clients, they established Happy Home to offer timeless design and uncompromising quality in residential solutions. The company is deeply committed to environmentally conscious living, integrating sustainable thinking and energy efficiency from the initial design phase. Their homes are crafted to blend seamlessly with nature and are built for longevity, excelling in both construction quality and architectural style. Happy Home utilizes state-of-the-art materials, including CLT for robust structures and PIR insulation, which contribute to excellent thermal performance with an impressive average air leakage rate of qE 50 = 0.20 m3/(h*m2). They emphasize achieving low heating costs through advanced technologies such as geothermal heating and 0-certified forced ventilation. Happy Home provides a comprehensive turnkey solution, managing every aspect from architectural design and navigating the building permit process to obtaining final occupancy permits and executing full construction. With over 100 completed projects, the company prides itself on efficiency, stating that a turnkey house is typically completed within five months. They employ project management software to ensure all construction-related documents are digital and centralized, simplifying the process for clients. Happy Home offers a substantial 50-year warranty on structural components and a 2-year warranty on construction work. Clients benefit from a high degree of customization, with plans and sizes tailored to individual wishes and budgets, offering various architectural styles named after countries like Switzerland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, and Iceland, available in different configurations such as L- and U-shapes, and single or double-story versions. Greencube
Greencube is an Estonian manufacturer of high-quality prefab and modular homes, cottages, saunas, and office buildings, based in Lihula, Lääneranna parish. The company was founded in 2012 by Henri Bekmann, who initially struggled to find skilled labor for building a year-round cottage for himself. This challenge inspired him to establish his own house factory, an idea supported by the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency (EAS). What started in Kõmsi, Läänemaa, soon expanded, leading to the relocation to a significantly larger, eight-fold capacity facility in Lihula. Greencube specializes in two primary construction methods: element houses and modular houses. For element houses, wall and ceiling components are precision-engineered and manufactured in their factory. These elements are then transported to the client's site, where they are quickly assembled into a complete structure using a crane, with interior finishing handled on-site. Modular houses, on the other hand, undergo a more extensive factory build; not only are the structural components completed, but most electrical, plumbing, and interior works are also finished within the controlled factory environment. This approach allows for faster completion times and can offer a more competitive price compared to traditional on-site construction. Smaller modular units can even be delivered in one piece, with installation taking just a few hours. The company is committed to quality, using modern construction techniques and high-grade materials, with a preference for locally sourced Estonian materials whenever possible. All buildings are properly insulated for year-round use. Greencube emphasizes a 100% personalized approach, working closely with clients to customize existing models or develop unique designs in collaboration with an architect. They pride themselves on delivering a reliable service and durable homes, viewing each house as a decades-long investment. Greencube has received notable recognition, including "Best Small House of the Year" awards in both 2016 and 2018. While their primary market is Estonia, they have also established a strong reputation in the Scandinavian construction market.
