System 02 Two-Storey Cabin
System 02 is the original Backcountry Hut concept, a two-storey cabin inspired by traditional alpine huts and designed for larger groups or families. It is BHC's most adaptable kit, with options for master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and it is built for extreme weather with minimal maintenance. It is based on a two-storey 18.5 x 10 foot module (185 sq ft) that can be combined into larger layouts, so the floor area depends on the configuration. Because of the extended deck and full glazing, BHC recommends professional support; a good team can assemble the shell in 2 to 4 weeks. Shell kit: insulated floor, wall and roof panels, windows, doors and exterior cladding. Interior finishes, shipping, foundations and assembly are not included. Published starting price CAD $240,003.
